I think it goes without saying that I love to snuggle babies. But, a lot of what makes my job as a Cleveland newborn photographer so fulfilling is being able to serve moms. It’s what I loved about being a NICU nurse and it’s what I love about being a newborn photographer.
I’ve been a part of and witnessed those early newborn days as a mom, a nurse, and a photographer. And regardless of the lens I am looking through, I see moms that have selflessly stepped into their role as a mother. Their sole focus is now on the little life they have created. But mama, you deserve to be taken care of too.
As your Cleveland newborn photographer, it’s important to me that you are not only taken care of but also know what to expect.
A Client Experience that Eliminates Stress
It’s why I have created the client experience I have, especially when it comes to newborn sessions. Your only job as new parents is to come to our Chagrin Falls studio and let us take care of the rest. It’s true. We’ll take care of pampering mom with hair and makeup and styling the entire family. We’ll take our time during your newborn session and cater to your specific needs.
Some of my clients worry because they don’t feel or look their best. That can be hard- whether it be emotionally and/or physically, or in some cases, due to having a traumatic birth. But more often than not, each of these moms are thankful they moved forward with their newborn session. After this sweet baby’s newborn session, Mom expressed how helpful it was to have hair and makeup and how special these photos were to her.
What will your Newborn Session in Our Chagrin Falls Studio Look Like?
Once you arrive, my hair and makeup artist will get started with Mom’s hair and makeup. During this time, I’ll make sure our newborn area is ready for your precious baby. We heat the space and make sure they are warm throughout their newborn session.
My assistant and I will photograph your baby’s posed, solo photos. Depending on time, we may also move into sibling photos if you have older children. Then once mom is ready, she’ll join us for special photos with just mom and baby, just dad and baby, and their first photos as a family.
Ultimately, your baby dictates the timeline and flow of photos. If he/she needs to take a break to eat, we do that. If there are older siblings and they need time to warm up, we work with that. I’ve photographed over 100 babies and worked with many families, so trust me when I am prepared for just about anything.
How Long Will Your Newborn session Take?
Your newborn session will take 2-2.5 hours. There are several factors that go into this. The temperament of your baby and if he/she needs to eat, and whether or not you have older children and will be doing sibling photos. We have Dad or a grandparent bring the siblings about an hour after you arrive. This way you can relax and the siblings don’t get too antsy.
Most importantly, I don’t want you to stress over anything! I want you to trust in the experience my team and I have created. Allow us to take care of your family and you focus on the most precious memories right in front of you. They are fleeting, and I promise you, you don’t want to miss a moment!
