My job as a Cleveland Newborn Photographer is so much more than taking beautiful photos of your babies. Yes, that’s a huge part of it, but so much of what happens before you come to the studio sets the tone for your session. That why I have created a client experience that takes care of every detail from start to finish. This includes hair and makeup, a curated studio wardrobe, designed wall galleries, and heirloom keepsakes. All you have to do is show up and let us document the sweet moments of your precious baby and family.
Inquiry & Booking
When you inquire about a newborn session, we will set up a chat and go over any questions you have as well as what you can expect. I know that getting on the phone is hard with busy schedules, but I have found that this eliminates a lot of the back and forth that happens in emails. More importantly, it allows you to get to know me beyond what you read on my website. And whether it’s me or another photographer, I think this is really important when choosing a newborn photographer for your baby.
After our call, I’ll send you a quick recap of everything we go over then you will have a chance to officially reserve your session and join the RBP family!
Preparing for your Session
A few weeks prior to your session, we’ll schedule your styling appointment. What to wear is the question I get the most. The studio wardrobe is available for the entire family so you don’t have to worry about what to wear. I’ve been there. It’s stressful trying to coordinate outfits for your entire family or figure out what will fit after you’ve just had a baby.
The studio wardrobe includes a variety of sizes- with and without a bump, as well as postpartum. We carry dresses for the girls to twirl in and simple, neutral outfits for the boys. We’ve got the shirts covered for Dad and most pair well with khaki or grey pants.
I’ll make note of your selections during your styling appointment and make sure everything is steamed and ready for you to wear at your session. Gone are the days of standing in a fitting room, shopping for hours online, or stressing over what to wear!
Pampering Mom
It’s true, as Mom’s we often put ourselves on the back-burner when we have kids. Their needs come before ours and while there’s nothing wrong with that, we deserved to be pampered and feel beautiful too. Hair and makeup are one of the services I provide my clients and moms love it! It’s done right here in the studio so you can come in and relax before your session.
After Your Session
So many families that have come to me have told me they never get around to printing their images. That’s not how it should be! I want you to be able to enjoy your photos and the memories you have created with your family.
After your session, you can expect a sneak peek within 24 hours. Then, about two weeks after your session, we’ll schedule your reveal and ordering appointment via zoom. I’ll share your final portraits with you via a slideshow and help you choose your favorites!
We will take your favorites and decide if a family album and/or custom-designed wall gallery best suits your family. I’ll take you through a process using design software that takes out all of the guesswork. The best part is that the software allows you to visualize what your photos will look like in your home.
Install
The final step of the client experience is the install. Until I was educated and trained on hanging custom framing, I found it incredibly intimidating. In fact, the average person does. That’s why a lot of people don’t hang artwork in their homes…or at least gallery walls that they love and are proud to show their friends and family. But now, I can honestly say that I love it. Frame installation is one of my favorite parts of the entire process!
The custom frames that I use and the way we install make it not only simple but beautiful for our clients. No more putting several holes in the wall, stressing over where to hang it, or spending more time away from your family. I take care of all of it for you so that all there is left to do is for you to step back and see your beautiful family on the walls of your home.
